SNMCF Level II Bicycle Restoration Program

Southern New Mexico Correctional Facility’s Bicycle Restoration Program restores bikes to give to people in need of them. This program not only gives inmate skills; it also provides them a way to give back to the community.

In total 40 bikes have been completed. Of those, 20 have been given to local low-income families or individuals.

Recently Offender Mary Gutierrez' bike was stolen off of her porch. It was her sole method of transportation to work. Her PPO Tyler Kruger showed his CRED by reaching out to Warden James Mulheron and Deputy Warden Joe Lytle at SNMCF asking for their help. SNMCF generously donated a bike from their bike restoration program to Ms. Gutierrez.
