Tickets on Sale NOW!!

NMCD 2nd Bi-Annual Craftsmanship and Trades Fair

The New Mexico Corrections Department is proud to announce the 2nd bi-annual Craftsmanship and Trades Fair! This great event brings inmate artists and the community together in a way no regular art show can! Join us May 2, 2015 at the Penitentiary of New Mexico (4311 NM 14, Santa Fe, 87508) from 9am-4pm.

Tickets are $5 and can be purchased online http://www.eventbrite.com/e/penitentiary-of-new-mexico-inmate-craftsmanship-and-trades-fair-tickets-12415664587 . There will be tickets available at the door as well, but it will be limited. Credit cards and cash will be accepted, NO CHECKS. Also, come hungry! Great breakfast and lunch items will be available to purchase.

(Don't forget a portion of every sale goes to Victim's Reparation, the offender's children/family, a savings account, into programs to teach other offenders skills, and back to the artist.)

Now for the important stuff: The Inmate Craftsmanship and Trades Fair is May 2nd only. No one under the age of 16 will be permitted into the fair. You must wear closed toe and heeled shoes, no low cut or tight shirts, no short shorts and skirts. All clothing needs to be prison appropriate. Also, no drugs, weapons or alcohol are allowed on prison grounds. THIS INCLUDES IN YOUR CAR! Your car will be subject to search upon entering the facility. If drugs, weapons or alcohol is found it could result in your arrest for a felony charge.

Hey! Did this email get you thinking about Old Main tours? We thought so! Here is the link to buy tickets to this season’s tours! Don’t forget, every dollar spent goes back into the revitalization project. We do not use any taxpayer money but instead rely on donations and tours! Same important info applies to Old Main as it does for the fair.http://www.eventbrite.com/e/old-main-prison-tours-2015-tickets-14334921135
